VICE-PRESIDENT Terry Wester Terry's
love of art started at a very young age. From the age of seven. Terry
was often to be found with pencil and paper.His first works was cartoon
figures. Time went by and the cartoons became the faces of real people,
more time and out came the oil paints. His paintings are now included in private art collections throughout the United States and many foreign counties. Up on moving to De Queen, AR . He found a home with the C.A.C.A.and is proud to serve as VP for the club. |
| TREASURER ENOLA WAGNON.
Enola has a long history with the
C.A.C.A. She has been a member, officer, board member,
purchase award buyer, sponsor and supporter for most of its 37
years. She has been the treasurer for many years, a job she
takes very seriously and does very well. It is a job that
requires a lot of time and detailed work throughout the year, and the
work intensifies during the annual art show.
Enola is a lifetime resident of De Queen, growing
up here and marrying her high school sweetheart, Don. The
Wagnons were part of the business community of De Queen and raised
their two daughters here. Don passed away in 2006.
Enola took art lessons and
painted for a while, but decided that her talent lay in other
areas. The C.A.C.A. is fortunate to have Enola as treasurer.

SECRETARY VICTORIA AUTREY Victoria has been a member of Cossatot Arts and Crafts Association
forthirteen years. She has served as the club's vice-president in years
past and is currently serving as secretary. She has taught drawing
and painting locally for almost fifteen years, and her goal is to help
promote artistic achievement in people young and old. |
| REPORTER IRIS SAYLOR Iris and husband Gale moved to De Queen, Arkansas from the Houston area in 1977. She began painting after her retirement in 1995 when she joined Victoria's Art Class as a beginner. Shortly after this she joined the CACA and became a board member and secretary in 1997. She held this position for 10 years. She now serves as reporter/publicity chairman and remains on the board. During her tenure as secretary, she converted all the CACA records, address lists and other information to the computer, allowing more efficient and effective communication, publicity and record keeping. During this time she also compiled the annual art show brochures with the help of other volunteers. Her favorite mediums are oil and pastel and her favorite subjects are animals and buildings. In 2001 she held her own art show at the Sevier County Museum which included art, photography and poetry. In 2008 she was the honoree at the 2008 CACA King Art Show. Iris has won numerous awards for art over the years and continues to attend Victoria's Art Class weekly. |

HISTORIAN JO NELL BLAKELEY Jo Nell Blakeley
currently serves as Historian for C.A.C.A. She joined in 2003 and
became a Board Member in 2007.
Even though she worked full-time and raised two children, she managed to attend art classes whenever possible and picked them up again after retirement. She has taken college courses in Basic Art, Commercial Art, and Design. Other experience includes Portrait Drawing, Sculpture (private), Life Drawing in Oklahoma City and Texarkana, Oil painting, California, Watercolor with several artists in California, including noted artist and juror, Phyllis Doyon. Also Cynthia Shanink, Arkansas. Chinese Brush and Pastel, California. Victoria's Art Class, De Queen. Jo Nell was named Artist of the Year for 2004 with a still life of some of her favorite things. |
| BOARD MEMBER KATHY BEUDEN
Kathy has lived in De
Queen since 1989. Shestarted painting in 1991, joined CACA in 1993, became a Board member and later served as President from 1996 to 2006. She enjoys painting in oils, watercolor, pastels, pen and ink. Favorite medium is Prismacolor pencils , favorite subjects are flowers and animals. She has taken classes from Dr. Ophelia Lee, Sheryl Daul and Victoria Autrey, attending workshops by Van Ledbetter, Cynthia Schanink and Jon Birdsong. Kathy is also active in Sevier County Extension Homemakers, serving as County Treasurer for the past 12 years and a member of the De Queen Homemakers Club from 1992 holding various offices. Kathy also enjoys gardening, photography, reading, collecting antiques, her pets and spending time with her husband Pete. |

BOARD
MEMBER MYRTLE SIMS Myrtle and Ray moved back to De Queen in 1977. Myrtle has had many art classes, and in all media of fine art. Her favorite is palate knife. She likes the freedom of painting and the movement of the paint, above all she loves originality. She has held every office in the C.A.C.A.. and has been involved in the organization since 1978. She has many ribbons from the King Art Show and have been artist of the month numerous times, and artist of the year. She is a 50 year member of the Arkansas Extension Homemakers and a member of the First Baptist Church. |

MEMBER WANDA LEDBETTER Wanda Ledbetter came
to De Queen in August of l989 when her husband, Van, assumed duties as
the pulpit minister of the De Queen church of Christ. They
joined CACA soon, and she has served as a board member for a good many
years. Wanda has chaired the purchase awards reception for
much of that time. Wanda and Van were born, reared, and
married in Northwest Arkansas, and are now retired from full-time
church work since 2004.
