Mike naively set out for studies at the university of Oklahoma. Working as an apprentice in Texas, Mike learned his illustrating and painting techniques. Afterwards, Mike moved back to Norman, Oklahoma to begin his life with his wife and childhood sweetheart Carmelita, to pursue his career as an illustrator and artist.
